Dan graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA (Hons) dual degree in Landscape Design Town Planning and a Diploma in Landscape Architecture. He has had 10 years experience as a landscape contractor implementing soft landscape and maintenance for the MOD on RAF bases and city council contracts. He also had 4 years experience working as a Landscape Architect undertaking design and contract administration for both public and private sector.
Dan joined the social enterprise Green Estate back in 2004 and has had a significant influence not only in the creation of a new style of urban parks management but also in the development across the UK of the Pictorial Meadows approach. Today, as Landscape Director for Green Estate and Director of Pictorial Meadows he continues to put theory into practice overseeing numerous differing schemes many of which have matured over the years on housing sites, parks, highway verges, universities, schools and many other locations. He manages a team of Landscape Managers and horticulturalists looking after parks in our home patch of Sheffield whilst delivering consultancy, design, implementation, management and maintenance across the UK and increasingly into Europe.
